Food and Nutrition
The mission of the Stanfield Food Services Department is to provide a variety of appealing and nutritious foods in an environment that is respectful of each student's needs and differences. Food Services employees will provide all students the opportunity to reach their maximum learning potential through healthy food choices. We continue to strive for excellence by implementing standards and practices to gain recognition from the USDA Healthy Schools Challenge and Alliance for a Healthier Generation.
Our Food Services Department recognizes that a healthy well-fed child learns better. Our district partners with Southwest Foodservice Excellence to manage our Food and Nutrition Program to provide varied, fresh, healthy and attractive looking meals at no cost to students. If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Food Services office at (520)-424-0232
We have been awarded once again from the Alliance for A Healthier Generation. Check out the video below. Thank you to everyone who helped gather information for the application, Candice and crew for providing healthy meals/snacks for our students/staff, fellow PE teachers for making sure our students are getting a well rounded PE/Nutrition program, those teachers who continue to follow our wellness plan and make sure the guidelines are being met and our administration for understanding the importance of educating the whole child!
